Peru. A 30% reduction in the rate of criminal actions registered Ate, thanks to the work of citizen security that is carried out through the 132 video surveillance cameras that this jurisdiction has, informed the district mayor, Oscar Benavides.
According to the president, the most drastic reduction was achieved in the Ceres area, where before about 80 assaults occurred daily and now only two to three of these criminal acts are reported.
Benavides Majino noted that the district of Ate has 132 digital cameras that have the capacity to send messages and have a GPS locator, all of which allows tracking when a robbery or assault is committed.
Of the total number of cameras, 16 have been placed in the Huaycán and Horacio Zeballos human settlements; while on the Central Highway there are 12 of these teams.
This effort by the commune of Ate has made it possible for the serenazgo to thwart countless robberies, and to follow up on the criminals until they are captured and handed over to the National Police.
The entire video surveillance system works 24 hours a day with a team of 110 people to achieve greater citizen security.
