Mexico. Integrators and distributors will have a new resource to train on the subject of migrating analog systems to IP. This will be possible thanks to the creation of the Samsung Techwin IP Institute that will certify industry professionals in this area.
The institute will offer certifications for those who wish to carry out this migration after completing a course that is endorsed by the international association Bicsi, with 15 of its CEC credits, and recognized by ASIS and IP User Group.
In this regard, Pedro Duarte, VP Business Development & Latin America of Samsung Techwin America, explained that "we invest in this certification program to ensure that integrators have more advanced knowledge for the integration of IP systems."
The first of these courses will be held on April 18 and 19 in Mexico City at a cost of US$199 and will address issues such as: Introduction to IP Video Design, Design Methodologies, Network / Ethernet 101, Open Systems Interconnection Model, Introduction to Internet Protocol, TCP / IP Packet Structures, Basic Aspects of IP Addressing, Sub-network I and Introduction to Virtual LANs.
This training will also be held in the city of Lima, Peru on May 7 and 8; in Bogotá, Colombia from June 4 to 5; and then visit Quito, Ecuador in July, Santiago de Chile in August and Buenos Aires, Argentina in September.
