Dear friends, as always it is a pleasure to share this space with you.
Recently we returned from ASIS 2011 and there I had the opportunity to share with many industry professionals whom I thank very much for their collaboration, help and above all for accompanying us every day.
In this version of ASIS we were able to witness many changes in the industry, companies that are consolidated, others that join, some that unfortunately must close and others that arise in the sector.
The market becomes different and gives different signs of change that some can interpret as positive or negative, but as a good connoisseur of the industry told me... "You have to look beyond, see what's going on around you and turn threats into opportunities and know how to exploit them."
And that's exactly what many companies have done with Latin America. They have expanded to major cities, created branches and made alliances with distributors and representatives to cover the region. But there is still much more to come.
Latin America changed the marketing landscape. The region is providing new spaces for action. The U.S. market, for example, is already beginning to end, there electronic security works properly, so to speak, but in Latin America there is almost nothing so every new security equipment installed becomes a market opportunity, and as such, there are some companies that know how to exploit it and others that do not.
The numbers of Latin America already weigh a little more in the different manufacturing companies and that makes the integrators, distributors and installers have more support and with a whole spectrum of action that they must penetrate.
Technology is increasingly covering the region and that is why we have to enter to play in this market and know the new developments and what we can do with them. That is why I invite you to participate in TecnoEdificios, the Congress for the modernization of buildings and advanced facilities, which seeks to update Latin American professionals on what the security industry has for the region.
All market players, manufacturers, representatives, distributors, integrators, installers, we must all be prepared for the change that is taking place in Latin America and be part of it.
