International. Intel Corporation recently announced that the acquisition of McAfee was successfully completed, a company that will continue to develop security products and services under its own brand.
Both companies believe that with the increase in cyber threats, the security ratio to the online world needs an approach that involves software, hardware and services, therefore, it is necessary to work together to ensure the safety of users.
René James, Intel's senior vice president and general manager, said: "The security challenge puts the future potential of computing at risk, and with the acquisition of McAfee we add not only leadership in security solutions globally, but they also bring the talent of people focused on offering products and services that help make the Internet connection more secure."
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel, McAfee will report to the Intel Software and Services Group led by James.
