Dear readers. A new year begins and with it many hopes and illusions. I want to wish you all the best in this new season, with the hope that the positive facts will spread to your families and friends.
Today I want to remember, rather than focus on a particular topic. I want to remember the moment when I started working with this beautiful magazine; a little over six years ago he took over as editor of the glorious SECURITY SALES, a publication that had made an undisputed name for itself in the Latin electronic security landscape. Fifteen days after starting work I already had a trip planned for ASIS in what was a baptism of "blood and fire" as the military would say.
Today, at the moment of saying see you later, I take stock and everything I put on the table refers to the same word: gratitude. Today, heading towards a new adventure, I find that I have many sincere friendships left who never denied a hug, a joke, a handshake. I leave with the best memory of an industry that although under its responsibility has the protection of people and assets does not know formalisms, but human warmth. Anyway, I know that I will continue in contact with many of you to continue that bond that began in Buenos Aires, Santiago, San Pablo, Bogotá, Mexico, Miami or Las Vegas. There were many unforgettable places and moments that I will miss.
But every cycle has a closure. Now it is the turn of a friend of all: Ana María Restrepo, who most of you should refer to as she was for a long time accompanying me in this magazine, which is today like a son, both for her and for me. That is why I want to ask you to continue with your support for SECURITY SALES, in order to continue with the leadership that has recognized us from the moment it began to be edited by LATIN PRESS.
There are no goodbyes, only thanks because I learned very valuable things with each and every one of those who accompanied me at one time or another. So we keep in touch. Those who want to write to me can do so [email protected]. A fraternal embrace for all.
Julian Arcila Restrepo
