TecnoEdificios met expectations in its first version

altMore than 500 people, including attendees of the academic program and visitors to the commercial exhibition, met on November 4 and 5 for the first version of TecnoEdificios, the congress on technologies for the modernization of commercial buildings that was held in Plaza Mayor, Medellín and was organized by Latin Press Inc.

For both attendees and organizers the final balance is satisfactory and from now on the 2011 version begins to be prepared, which will take place on November 9 and 10.

Within the academic program in which experienced national and international professionals participated, the audience highlighted the conference given by Dr. Héctor Torres Pérez, vice president of security management of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, who spoke about the importance that buildings should give to all areas of security, emphasizing that managers should see it as an investment in asset protection and not as an expense.

For his part, the Mexican Manuel Villanueva, of Honeywell, announced several cases in which fire systems must be a priority in any type of property.

Another of the outstanding speakers was José L. Correa, representative of Johnson Controls, who based his talk on schematic design for smart buildings, offering some recommendations on the design of a building with the aim of saving costs in energy consumption.

Prior to the event, a program of three guided tours of some of the most modern commercial buildings in Medellín was also fulfilled, where visitors had the opportunity to learn about the latest integrations of solutions for security, air conditioning and lighting.
