This bill, which was already approved in a first debate, must contain the considerations that are generated in this socialization to continue the process and enter it into a second debate in the second committee of the Senate, as explained by Iván Castro, executive director of Andevip Antioquia.
In order to elaborate a statute that contemplates the needs, obligations and rights of the surveillance and private security sector, Andevip has held different national forums together with the rapporteurs of the bill, industry actors, entrepreneurs and guilds. The last of these forums was held in Medellín, last July.
Following the same line, Andevip will hold the VII Pan American Congress of Private Security and the XVIII National Congress, produced by the Pan American Federation of Private Security, Fepasep, which will be held on October 29 and 30 in Girardot, Cundinamarca, Colombia.
In these congresses, attendees from Argentina, Guatemala, Spain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Colombia, will share the experiences of Latin America and Spain in the security sector, specifically in the evolution of surveillance and private security in the region, the role it plays and how it participates in the synergy of citizen security.
