For this event, the organizing committee of Expo Seguridad Mexico, concerned about the atmosphere of insecurity that is experienced in much of the country, offered its support by providing 10 Mercedes-Benz vans to move the participants to the Alcázar del Castillo.
On this occasion, the work of President Calderón against crime was highlighted, however, it was also recognized that much remains to be done in terms of security and justice throughout the country.
The new president of the association, Ana Franco, pledged to work tirelessly to achieve the objectives set by the institution, such as "rescuing the time of abandonment, neglect, corruption and impunity of the security and justice system that citizens have tolerated."
Likewise, Samuel Ordaz Cortez, general director of Giprex Mexico, the organizing company of Expo Seguridad México, presented a pin to the President with the legend "United Against Crime", as well as an image that contains a ribbon with the colors of the Mexican flag surrounding a pen. This pin will also be offered to exhibitors and visitors of Expo Seguridad México (from April 21 to 23, 2009) and the donations obtained will be delivered to "México Unido Contra la Delincuencia" at the end of the event.
