Javier Lupi, CEO of Avantitek, explained that the next two years could be the time of consolidation of the concept of security-IT convergence in Latin America due to the global circumstances of recent days that suggest massive investments in security and information technologies.
"The economic crisis and the relative contraction of American economies can lead to pockets of crime, for which the most logical response, almost always, is to invest in security. We see that in several cities in the United States crime is increasing and unfortunately this can spread to Latin America," Lupi explained.
He also stressed that the region's predisposition to consume more and more telecommunications is another element that will drive the development of the idea of convergence.
