Germán Cortés, manager of Insetrón, a Colombian company dedicated to consulting on electronic security, is our professional of the month. This 41-year-old from Bogota has been dedicated to the security industry for more than 20 years and with him we made an outline of the current market in our region. His relationship with this segment has led him to hold positions related to the physical, electronic and communications part in companies such as Comware, Alarmas Ultra, Integra Security Systems (formerly ITI) and Tecnología Integral.As manager of his own security project Cortés has been for 12 years, in which his company has been dedicated to the advisory service prior to the purchase of safety equipment and the training of different people in the environment in issues related to the industry, which has earned this electronic engineer the certification as an instructor of the Association Latin American Security Wing.
As far as the personal aspect is concerned, Cortés is married to Diana Quintero, a union from which Carlos Eduardo was born, who is currently three years old. Although it sounds paradoxical, together with his wife he has an events company, to which he refers as follows: "together with Diana we have a social events company called Bodas & Eventos Integrales, therefore I alternate my teaching and consulting engineer activity, with that of organizing events on weekends; that is, we never rest, however we have a lot of fun. There the terminology and activities shift towards sequins, vintage cars and a dedicated customer service attitude."
