This surveillance system, which is four months old, has left very good results, so much so that mayor Jorge Giménez assures that progress will be made in the second stage of the project in order to continue it to the city of Palmira and other districts.
"We have had very good results and even the images have helped to clarify some facts," explained Commissioner General Pedro Giménez, and explained that he is monitored by police personnel during the 24 hours.
The 22 cameras were distributed in different parts of the city, especially in the microcenter, commercial sector of the city. The idea is to continue the installation in critical points such as the Perrupato hospital and in the San Martín court.
Just four months of operation the cameras have recorded a large number of events within which there have been traffic accidents, street fights and some robberies.
