New series of cameras
As part of its video surveillance line, Vicon introduces the new I-Onix series of IP cameras, which will use ViconNet software. As standard, the I-Onix will initially consist of three models: the VN-855 a high-resolution model, the VN-855DN, a day and night version and the VN-855 I-Onix, a wide dynamic range (WDR) model. Any of these three cameras can offer high-quality 30 fps, 4 CIF (720 x 488 or 864 x 586 PAL) in video over the network. It can be transmitted over Ethernet (PoE) which eliminates the need for an alternating power source.
The I-Onix series delivers outstanding performance at all levels, offering super-sharp color images with a resolution of up to 540 lines (the WDR model offers 480), plus they use ViconNet MPEG-4 compression that optimizes file sizes and maximizes image quality.
