Latin America. SonicWall, the private network security company owned by Francisco Partners and Elliott Management, has just announced Douglas Rivero as Sales Director for Latin America. Under its operation are Arley Brogiato (Brazil), Pedro Castro (South America) and Eustolio Villalobos (Mexico and Central America).
Douglas has over 25 years of experience in the IT market, both in sales and operations; he recently celebrated his 12th year of work at SonicWall, where he actively participated in the development of the market in this region. Prior to joining SonicWall's management team, he was 3Com's Chief Sales Officer and Ericsson's Chief Operating Officer for Latin America.
"Rivero's experience in channel and distributor development makes him the ideal person to lead the sales team in Latin America and of course follow up on the transformations that are underway," said Chris Auger, Vice President of Sales for the Americas at SonicWall.
Additionally, Auger stressed that since the integration between the North American and Latin American teams, SonicWall's regional operation has been responding with more vigor. The success of the SonicWall Forum in both Brazil and Mexico is proof that the business ecosystem in the region is poised to meet expectations and expected results for the region. It should be noted that Latin America, as part of the American structure, has already benefited from a greater number of investments and special attention from SonicWall. In this context, the executive highlights that Rivero will be key to accelerating and exploiting the recognized potential of SonicWall solutions.
"But the expectations do not stop there, all the advances achieved during the last 6 months demonstrate the solidity that SonicWall has gained in Latin America, therefore, the plan will be to maintain the growth rates by developing new channels that help us in this process," Rivero emphasized.
