Building on the company's incredible growth year over year, and underscoring the global level of support for its security surveillance product range, Hikvision, the world's leading provider of video surveillance products and solutions, has announced that it has again reached the No.1 position in a recent IHS Markit report, based on 2016 data, with a dominant market share of 21.4% for CCTV and CCTV Equipment worldwide, up from 19.5% last year.
Recently, IHS Markit, a global leader in information, analytics and critical solutions, also reported that Hikvision's technology ranks No. 1 in the 2016 global market share in the categories of: Security Cameras (24.2%), Analog CCTV+HD Security Cameras (23.9%), Network Security Cameras (25.6%) and Recorders (25.3%). On the other hand, the company continues with its leading position in the EMEA market, with a market share of 14.9% for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment, and has achieved a market share of 8.5% matching the No.2 position for the American market.
Supporting the rapid growth of a company that is now a recognized leader in the security technology industry, Hikvision attributes its success in the IHS Markit ranking to its continued R&D investment in new product technologies, rapid response to market trends, and long-standing collaborations the company has been placing at its core business.
