Latin America. Exacq Technologies launches Camera Links, controls superimposed on the display of the cameras that allow an immediate response to events.
The new version 7.0 of the exacqVision video management software (VMS) also includes improvements to the EasyConnect IP camera connection system, event monitoring updates in Exacq Mobile and backup of server settings in Enterprise System Manager (ESM), a program that monitors the system status of exacqVision enterprise network video recorders (NVRs).
exacqVision 7.0 introduces its new Camera Links feature, which allows exacqVision users to configure overlay controls that appear when you move the pointer through a live display. This feature allows users to adjust the text color, font, style, transparency, and location of overlays on the screen, in such a way that they fit their cameras' visualizations. The created command buttons (camera links) are visible in all client sessions and in all screen formats and display settings. Camera Links makes exacqVision operators the commands they need most available and greatly improves their response time to alarms and high-priority events.
The EasyConnect feature, released the previous year, has been improved in exacqVision version 7.0. EasyConnect allows users to find, assign addresses and automatically connect multiple IP cameras to their network. With this new enhancement, EasyConnect shows users more detailed reports on connection status when connecting Illustra IP cameras and exacqVision E-Series video encoders. Having complete and specific information about the connection, as well as guidance on how to solve a problem saves users time and money during installation.
From now on, exacqVision users will be able to use event monitoring from the latest Exacq Mobile application for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices. Any event monitoring configured within the exacqVision client can be viewed in the mobile app. Event monitoring ensures mobile app users will be aware of the most important video material related to various events, such as motion detection, alarms and other system activation inputs. In addition to event monitoring, the latest Exacq Mobile app allows you to navigate using two-finger swipe to quickly review all camera visualizations. Users can swipe the screen to the left to load the next group of cameras into the screen display format.
The new Enterprise System Manager (ESM) collective configuration feature allows administrators to back up configurations for all servers in the enterprise at once. Thanks to this new ESM feature, administrators can always have a backup of exacqVision recorder configurations in a more agile and simple way.
You can access the exacqVision VMS using the free exacqVision client software (Windows/Linux/Mac), exacqVision's free web browser client, available for all major browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera), or through the free Exacq Mobile app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8 devices. The VMS software comes with preconfigured exacqVision NVR servers or can be installed on third-party Windows or Linux systems.
