Annual Management Report of the Association (Deputy)

altFor fifteen years, the Latin American Security Association has been working on "missionary work" of Electronic Security. Today, with nearly 500 partners and more than 7000 graduates, we continue to build a history where ALAS remains in a constant process of transformation to preserve the positioning of our industry in the region, which has been obtained thanks to the cooperation of all.

Every year there are new challenges and better results, and 2012 was no exception, as we have entrepreneurial, innovative and leading companies in their businesses, as well as a staff and board of directors more committed than ever.

That is why it is gratifying to deliver for the first time to active and inactive members, our Annual Management Report, which presents the growth of ALAS during the year that culminated and ratifies that we are on the way to be the benchmark of our field in Latin America.

In this report you will find the activities carried out, the results of the operations in 2012 in the different areas of work and the behavior of the different products and services of the Association, such as:

* Memberships
* Courses
* Management Summit
* Technological Meetings
* Active participation in the most important fairs and events
* Marketing strategies and behavior on the web

We will also look at the 32-page brochure, the evolution of WINGS in recent years, new benefits and courses, and the main projections for 2013. And may this be the opportunity to thank the partners who supported this project with their institutional notices: Anixter, Axis, Bosch, Came Americas, HID, Honeywell Fire Systems, Milestone Systems, NVT, Samsung Techwin, Scati, Segware and Tyco Security Products.

Thanks to their participation we managed to produce it in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and deliver it throughout the American continent, in the exhibitions where we participated in April (SICUR Latin America, ISC West, ISC Brazil and Expo Seguridad Mexico), in each company, in each office, in each workplace.

Thanks a lot

Ing. Eduardo Vargas,
President ALAS

But here we do not stop, we will have more Technological Meetings, schedule:
* May: Panama:
* July: Guatemala
* September: Peru
* November: Dominican Republic

We were present with a stand at four Security fairs: SICUR Latin America, ISC West, ISC Brazil and Expo Seguridad Mexico.

SICUR Latin America, April 3 to 5: With FISA, the entity that organizes this fair, we reached a strategic agreement and had a stand.  Jennifer Cardona, commercial director of the Association was on behalf of ALAS interacting with the partners of Cono Sur and looking for new alliances to reactivate activities in this country. Among the activities carried out by Cardona, we highlight the meeting at the Palacio de la Moneda with the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of Chile.

ISC West, April 10-12: For the first time we had a booth at ISC West (Las Vegas), which is a milestone for what this fair represents for the security industry of our continent. There Jennifer Cardona, Luz Adriana Alvarez and Víctor Alarcón visited the partners, sought new alliances and promoted the activities of ALAS during the year. It should be noted that relations with the organizers of this ISC Events fair were strengthened and in 2014 we will have many surprises for Latinos in Las Vegas.

ISC Brazil, April 16 to 18: As every year we cover this very important front that is Brazil, this security fair is the most important in this country and was held at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. Víctor Alarcón attended on behalf of the Association. In Brazil we are on the right track to reactivate the work of the Association.

Expo Seguridad México, April 23-25: This particular fair allowed us more feedback with partners and further strengthened relations with ALAS Mexico, who held a cocktail for chapter members on the first day of the Expo.

Every year, ALAS and the magazine VENTAS DE SEGURIDAD share the stand at Expo Seguridad Mexico, as well as at other security fairs in Latin America, and with this new edition of the fair we returned again with the live and live transmission via streaming through the websites of both companies.

We broadcast live and live many of the events of one of the most important fairs of the security industry in Latin America, from Centro Banamex in Mexico City.

The webcasts that took place on the three days of the fair from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. had in their total programming with:

* 12 informative broadcasts where news from the exhibitors and the industry in general, videos of the different security systems and success stories of the main manufacturing companies were presented.

* Nearly 40 interviews with special guests of the industry where topics of general interest, regulations, citizen security, technological trends, markets with a focus on the current dynamics of the industry in the region, among others, were discussed.

Thank you to all those who supported us in these activities, to those who visited us at each of the events and to the organizers of these fairs because these spaces help ALAS to reach its partners and the industry in general to fulfill our mission.
