Latin America. SolidEDGE is one of the latest security camera launches that Hanwha Vision is introducing for the Latin American market.
The camera is available in two models: PNV-A6081R-E1T with 1TB of storage and the PNV-A6081R-E2T with 2TB of storage, and the brand calls it the first camera on the market with a real solid state drive (SSD) with integrated server.
One of the most significant advantages of the SolidEDGE is the execution of the Wisenet WAVE VMS directly on the camera. There is no need for a standalone server, making it a cost-effective security solution for businesses and organizations. This innovative system provides reliable, high-quality video surveillance without the need for complicated configuration, operating system or security updates.
The SolidEDGE camera is powered by the embedded Linux operating system and a powerful hardware system at the edge, which features a quad-core CPU, a dedicated encoder, and 4GB of RAM. But the real key is the integrated SSD, which houses the recording server and also stores the recorded video. This feature provides several advantages over traditional surveillance systems.
(1) The SSD hosts WAVE video recording, database and installation files, ensuring the capture of any incident without delay.
(2) It makes the system more reliable, as there is no need to rely on external servers or cloud storage.
(3) The recorded video is more secure as it is stored locally and is not susceptible to hacking or unauthorized access.
