The body camera is a rugged mobile camera that extends any video system beyond fixed cameras in order to offer better situational awareness, help monitor people's behavior, and provide complete coverage.
The reliable video transmission and live GPS data offered by the body camera allows to know the location of employees working in the field and transmit videos of up to 1080p, even when network conditions are poor. The Illustra body camera offers a higher level of situational awareness: it transmits continuous live or recorded video, and audio and location data with bandwidths of only 9Kbps, all without losing quality or suffering delays and through cellular networks or Wi-Fi. Continuous HD recording for 12 hours provides complete coverage for extended work shifts.
Among its main features are: Live streaming over Wi-Fi /4G LTE: The ability to live stream a carrier's point of view to a control room improves the level of situational awareness for command and control. In addition, it acts as a workforce multiplier, as it allows to clearly and immediately understand if more resources need to be sent to handle an incident, integration with VMS platforms JCI: Integrating body camera data with data from fixed surveillance cameras and other sources helps to store, monitor, manage and share data efficiently and integrated storage of 64 GB and powerful battery: The increased storage capacity and powerful battery allow the Illustra body camera to operate during a full 12-hour work shift.
