United States. Assa Abloy announces the integration of its Aperio wireless locking technology with Pinnacle Advanced access control software and the 1700 Smart Controller from Sielox, a designer of security solutions.
Aperio will integrate with version 10.4 of the Pinnacle access control platform, which is a feature-rich event management software that provides superior access management and control capabilities.
The integration includes Sielox's Intelligent Controller 1700, a fully distributed 32-bit intelligent access control panel for up to 34 doors that provides protection to facilities even if communications have been interrupted. This field-proven, cost-effective, scalable and repairable unit connects directly to a network, saving costs.
In addition, Aperio's wireless locks can be controlled using CLASS (Crisis Lockdown Alert Status System), a Sielox emergency notification and response solution that dramatically improves situational awareness, saving time and potentially saving lives. CLASS, a browser-based application, is accessible from anywhere and at any time and can instantly send Alert Level and Facility Blocking status changes from any device.
"Aperio is a superior wireless lock that not only provides a high level of security, but helps drastically reduce installation costs," said Karen Evans, President and CEO of Sielox LLC. "By integrating the Aperio lock with our Pinnacle and CLASS software and controller, we are giving customers the ability to implement wireless access alongside existing wired access to provide a layered security solution."
