Colombia. CyberAcademy, from Gamma Ingenieros, is a set of services that offers an educational platform of virtual access (e-learning), which aims to raise awareness and awareness about the risks in cybersecurity, protect sensitive corporate information and, likewise, manage privacy and security in personal data and social networks. It is aimed at all personnel who are in the business environment, especially the areas of the company that are not related to IT.
Currently the CyberAcademy platform consists of 35 courses on cybersecurity, technology and computer networks, distributed in 19 basic courses and 11 lessons, aimed at people with little or no knowledge about ICT. In addition, 5 advanced courses for technical staff and users with advanced knowledge in technology.
CyberAcademy is an educational tool created by Gamma Ingenieros, a cybersecurity company with more than 34 years of experience in the ICT market. So far, it has benefited about 150 users from different business sectors. Knowledge in cybersecurity has been promoted in organizations such as: the Universidad del Bosque, Fondo de Pensión del Congreso (FONPRECON), among others.
The courses include topics related to existing threats in cyberspace, secure handling of information in emails and instant messaging, electronic invoicing, legislation on computer crimes in Colombia, such as making backups, secure profiles in social networks, strength of passwords, among others.
Likewise, courses will be launched on different topics in technology such as: What is behind cryptocurrencies?, the concept of blockchains or blockchain, what is the Deep web and dark web and What is cloud and types of platforms exist in the cloud, among others.
"Through the CyberAcademy we want to transform the habits of use and work with digital media and teams of staff and collaborators in organizations. We have a comprehensive academic vision, therefore, we seek to implement a research cluster for the analysis of incidents in organizations, supported by tools and activities such as phishing simulation campaigns, where we use statistical analysis to detect behaviors and vulnerabilities in the different sectors and finally, make demonstrations and live activities", says Alvaro Alexander Castillo, leader of Gamma Ingenieros' CyberAcademy.
