Latin America. Milestone Systems will hold for the first time in Latin America its MPOP (Milestone Open Platform Days), an event that brings together its business partners to share with them the main advances and trends in video technology through exhibitions and conferences.
MPOP Mexico 2018 will have a series of specialized talks, among which the topic of artificial intelligence stands out, a topic that the brand has been highlighting in its most recent events. "The region is moving forward and part of our goal is to find ways to help it grow more; for this reason we want to bring solution partners and members of the global Milestone community to interact with our local integrators, so that they know the information, trends and technological advances that are moving the world through our platform," said Juan Carlos George, sales manager of Milestone Systems for Latin America.
Machine learning is increasingly prominent in intelligent video solutions, as each device is a sensor and now connected in new ways, the amount of data continues to grow; this requires more efficient ways to translate that data into "intelligence" to make faster decisions, which help both make the world a safer place, and achieve many other improvements for commercial video systems.
An academic agenda at the height of the occasion
Linked to the above, Manuel Zamudio, manager of Industrial Associations for the north of Latin America and the Caribbean of Axis Communications, will present a talk on the trends that go towards the creation of an intelligent world; similarly, other prominent speakers will share their knowledge in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and intelligent video systems, such as Milestone executives Tim Palmquist, Mike Sherwood, and Juan Carlos George.
"One of the purposes of Milestone at MPOP is to show attendees its new technologies, both those that are newly implemented, that is, ready for the market, and those that come for the future," said Edgardo López, milestone Systems engineering manager for Latin America, who will also give a couple of talks about the latest solutions of the company and "Systems Builder".
On the other hand, during the two days of the event there will be a technological exhibition of Milestone and its partners: Axis Communications, BCD Video, AllGoVision, Briefcam, Hanwha, CDVI, Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi) and Neural Labs.
"We want this to serve as a platform so that next year we can repeat it in Mexico, including that we can expand and take it for the first time to South America," concluded Juan Carlos George.
Milestone Systems has been doing this type of events around the world for more than 10 years, for February 2019 mips will be held in Nashville, United States, a meeting that embraces the same idea that the company champions of creating an intelligent world.
