Mexico. Multinational financial and technology consultancy AIS Group has appointed Irving Juarez to lead Mexico. With a professional career of more than 15 years in the field of comprehensive risk management and with a deep knowledge of the economy and financial markets, among his new responsibilities, Juárez will launch and develop an ambitious business development plan of AIS Group in Mexico, a country where it has operated for 22 years.
The Plan aims to strengthen the presence of AIS in that country, also seeking growth between 3% and 5%, will place special emphasis on the wide portfolio of Risk Management solutions, based on Artificial Intelligence, developed by AIS Group.
The company will continue to work with both private and public entities in Mexico, whatever their size, adapting its services to the different needs of each of them.
This will accompany large financial institutions in their digitalization processes, contributing to implement issues related to major technological advances: Big Data, Machine Learning, Account Aggregation, among others; in addition to facilitating compliance with regulatory issues such as the capitalization of credits and the optimization of reserves and capital.
In the case of medium and small financial institutions, niche institutions and new entities, AIS will offer advanced support in global risk management and strategic planning, providing tools, predictive models and consulting services.
In addition, AIS will also serve the market of non-banking institutions in aspects such as regulatory compliance, information analysis and the preparation of reports required by the different regulators (Bank of Mexico, National Banking Commission, etc.) and will strengthen its role as a provider of risk systems for Credit Unions, SAPIS and Fintechs in Mexico.
Apart from Mexico, Irving Juárez's responsibility will be extended to other countries in the Caribbean and Central America, "where monitoring processes will be carried out on the evolution of financial systems, the applicable regulation, with the aim of selectively identifying business opportunities," says the new director of AIS Mexico.
Career
Irving Juárez's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Risk Management, from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), an Actuary from the Faculty of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a Specialization in Risk Management from the Universidad Panamericana (UP) and a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Finance, from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
In his previous role, Juárez was Director of Risk Management at Grupo UniCCo. He has previously held positions of responsibility in companies such as Grupo Financiero Interacciones (GFI), Banco Nacional del Ejército, Fuerza Aérea y Armada S. N.C, and the Secretariat of Communications and Transport, in the General Directorate of Programming and Budget.
