International. The latest report issued by market research firm IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS) shows how, for the fifth consecutive year, Hikvision consolidated itself as the world's largest supplier of CCTV and video surveillance equipment.
According to the report, Hikvision went on to hold 19.5% of the global market share of CCTV and video surveillance equipment in 2015, an increase of 16.3% compared to that obtained in 2014, an already dominant figure.
With years of experience in providing comprehensive product solutions for the video surveillance market, Hikvision records even more important achievements that stand out in the market. Specifically, the company currently holds the top spot in market share in virtually all categories of individual equipment such as network cameras, analog and HD CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR, and video encoders, among others.
The most recent IHS report also shows the rapid growth that Hikvision has experienced, going from a global market share of 8% in just three years. Thanks to its continuous investment in research and development of innovative products, the company has become the dominant force and technological leader of the industry in the world. The figures in the report also indicate that Hikvision maintains its leadership in the Asia market and in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, reaching the first position, compared to the second place obtained last year, and achieving a share of 12.2%. In the Americas market, Hikvision moves from the number 4 position, reached the previous year, to the number 2 position, with a market share of 7.3%.
