Mexico. Sistemas IProNet, a leading company in global IP video solutions, and Samsung Techwin, a leading provider of video surveillance solutions, announce a strategic alliance to collaborate in the development of an integrated solution that uses VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service).
VSaaS is a video management system that works through the cloud, without the need for locally installed hardware or software. The installation camera is plug-and-play, which means that the camera connects automatically, generating a reduction in costs and less complexity, since the end user only needs a Samsung camera and an Internet connection.
This alliance allows the possibility of accessing the captured video from any IPNP powered device, because Samsung is hosted in the cloud application. Both the platform and the product are fully equipped to offer corporate partners this service, as is the case with Telcos, Distribution Companies of alarms, security, etc., which accesses a new recurring business model, with an attractive added value of service for the end user.
This alternative will impact video surveillance monitoring processes and management, not only for the industrial and commercial sectors, but also for small businesses and the market in general. Users of the service will have the ability to view power from the cameras in the cloud via the web, smartphones, tablets and TV apps.
Through the expansion of "cloud video services", both companies will enhance their portfolio of offerings, as VSaaS technology, based on the IProNet Video (VIP) Internet platform, will complement Samsung Techwin's IP camera capabilities. Consequently, these cameras will be compatible with the IPNP IProNet (Plug and Play technology), which will create a differentiated product for both companies, as well as offer an attractive alternative for the market.
"It's an IP cloud solution for video surveillance, compatible with our products, that combines ST's culture of innovation and excellence," said Pedro Duarte, vice president of Latin America at Samsung Techwin. "We are always trying to offer security solutions at the forefront to remain key players in the industry."
"Samsung Techwin cameras offer a full set of features at an affordable price and this fits perfectly with the VsaaS business model promoted by IProNet," added Brett Boswell, Director of Video Cloud Services at IProNet. "This agreement will enable further integration and innovative feature generation within a cloud-based service."
