Peru. The district of Pueblo Libre has 18 new cameras, aimed at strengthening security, Mayor Rafael Santos announced. The monitoring center, located on Av. General Vivanco, will have specialized personnel who will visualize the daily events.
The new system will allow the total monitoring of the jurisdiction 24 hours a day, through the 43 new video surveillance cameras, strategically located throughout the district.
"With the acquisition of these 18 video cameras, which are added to the 25 already in operation, we take an important step in the fight against citizen insecurity, always hand in hand with our National Police of Peru," said the burgomaster.
This service will be reinforced at the end of the summer with 32 more cameras in order to cover the 4.6 square kilometers that the district has. One camera will be placed for every five apples.
