Mexico. The Ministry of Public Security launched three video surveillance booths that seek to strengthen the operations carried out in the commercial and banking areas of the Michoacan capital in order to inhibit the commission of criminal acts in other points.
With this technological support, it is sought that the police personnel who already carry out surveillance operations, have elements to have a more timely intervention and avoid robberies both to account holders and to customers of the different commercial points.
The Secretary of Public Security, Elías Álvarez Hernández, stressed that with this type of equipment arranged by the Governor of the State, it seeks to address the claims of the population in order to reduce the incidence of crime.
For his part, the president of the Citizen Observatory, Pablo Flores Yaniz, highlighted the effort made by the state executive for the acquisition of these booths that will surely be of great help to strengthen the actions that are carried out in terms of crime prevention.
It is worth mentioning that this type of equipment has already been used in massive events such as: Ceremony of the Cry of Independence, parades on September 16 and 30, as well as that of November 20 and Night of the Dead ceremony in the lake region.
