Gartner has just released its Magic Quadrant on the most important vendors in the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) market.According to Gartner, in its Magic Quadrant for Content-Based Data Loss Prevention, this market has undergone significant change. Vendor consolidation has slowed, and the market has undergone a bifurcation towards high-end enterprise capabilities and low-end channel capabilities, offering more options to businesses of all sizes and needs. In fact, this market continues to grow at an annual rate of 20%.
After analyzing the different solutions offered by the main security providers in this market, Gartner has recognized Symantec, McAfee, CA Technologies, RSA (EMC), Websense and Verdasys as Leaders; in the Challengers category, only Trustwabe is listed; in the area of Niche Players, the consultancy has included Code Green Networks, Trend Micro, Safend and Palisade Systems; and finally in the Visionaries quadrant places Fidelis Security Systems and GTB Technologies.
