Argentina is the latin American country with the largest number of fixed high-speed Internet users in the region, according to data from the measurement known as the Cisco Barometer, which is carried out by that international firm.
The country reached an indicator of 10.2% followed very closely by Chile and Uruguay.
This statistical data means that on the number of inhabitants, in Argentina have fixed Internet connections of speeds greater than 512 kbps (kilobits per second) 10.2% of the total number of people.
The final projection shows a higher number, as each broadband Internet account is used by an average of 4 people, according to consultants' estimates.
The data corresponds to the survey carried out until the first half of this year.
The indicator at the end of December placed Argentina one percentage point below (9.2%) of the new measurement, only surpassed at that date by Chile with 9.7%.
Company executives stressed the importance not only of broadband penetration but of the "quality" of service.
