In order to increase its presence in the Latin American territory, AES-IntelliNet established its new office in Mexico and appointed Ugolino Duran as sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean. He will be responsible for the growth of AES-IntelliNet's long-range radio communications wireless mesh business, while providing strong support to customers located in these regions.
Ugolino has 22 years of experience in the electronic security industry and 18 years in international sales, which focused on Latin America and the Caribbean.
Most of Ugolino's knowledge comes from his work at companies such as Honeywell Ademco International, Notifier, Johnson Controls and Tyco Grinnell Fire Protection Systems. He has also served as President of the National Fire Protection Association and the Smart Building Institute for Mexico. Durán is fluent in Spanish and English and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
AES-IntelliNet's new sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean has a bachelor's degree in electronic systems engineering, and has participated in some panels and fire and safety training courses for alarm panel system manufacturers.
Based on his experience, Ugolino plans to develop effective marketing strategies for the growth of AES-IntelliNet within the territory. According to Mark Brandstein, COO of AES, it is very important for the company to have Durán, because with him and the new office in Mexico the company will be close to customers to better appreciate their needs. "We feel very fortunate to be able to count on Ugolino's expertise and reputation throughout this territory, and we are confident that this will be very beneficial for the fulfillment of our sales, customer support and market objectives in latin American and Caribbean countries."
The long-range and wireless mesh alarm communications system works in conjunction with the Internet to offer customers the ability to monitor alarms in multiple regions from a single location without resorting to monthly costs or infrastructure associated with alarm monitoring.
