International. Italian manufacturer CIAS Security announced that it will celebrate half a century of innovation in perimeter security systems during the ISC West event in April.
Last fall, the company announced its expanded expansion into North America to provide a full-time presence in priority geographic and vertical markets. As such, its representatives will meet with existing and potential partners in Las Vegas while actively looking to onboard additional integrators in the U.S. and Canada.
"Over the past 50 years, we have built a strong business globally based on our passion for innovating new technologies and operating with the utmost integrity by providing exceptional customer service," said Raffaele De Astis, President and CEO of CIAS Security. "We look forward to further expansion in North America by developing new partnerships with integrators and completing additional projects with our existing customer base."
De Astis noted that CIAS has been exporting to the United States for 15 years. The company added an office and warehouse in Miami in 2016 and expanded its operations last year with an office in Montreal, Canada, and a full-time support team in the field.
CIAS microwaves, short-range and fence-mounted radar systems are installed throughout the United States. The company has successfully completed integrations with third-party systems, including Avigilon's Unity, Genetec's Omnicast Pro and Security Center RSA, Milestone's XProtect, Lenel's OnGuard, and L3 Harris' Vigilis.
The company's intrusion detection technologies are FCC and IC certified, and some have also been tested by organizations such as the National Safe Skies Alliance.
"We are also aware of the growing demand to ensure the cybersecurity of our systems for the critical infrastructure sites we protect," said De Astis. "CIAS has implemented measures to ensure complete security against cyberattacks on our systems at these high-risk sites," he said.
The company's full-time presence in North America last fall has allowed CIAS to more effectively penetrate the market on a daily basis. The North American team consists of Raffaele De Astis, Fabio Perri and Cathy McHugh, who has been in the industry for over 15 years in North America and has worked with various perimeter and video security systems.
"Our further expansion into the Americas will strengthen CIAS' position as an industry leader in perimeter and outdoor security systems around the world," added De Astis.
Those interested in learning more about CIAS can visit them at ISC West, at booth 7064.
