Panama. The Mayor's Office of Panama announced that it will put into operation its Video Surveillance Center starting next week, specifically on Thursday, October 26. From this space will be monitored 24 hours a day more than one hundred security cameras that have been installed in the Capital City.
Curundú, Santa Ana, El Chorrillo, Calidonia, San Felipe, Ancón, and Bella Vista will be some of the coverage areas in their first phase of implementation, covering Calzada de Amador and Cinta Costera.
The center will have 21 operators prepared to deal with issues of public safety, emergencies and road safety.
The National Police, the Panama Fire Department and the National Civil Protection System will also have access to the system.
This will be a modern and efficient monitoring center with which it is planned to improve safety and living standards in Panama City.
