Mexico. SAINT Tecnologías announced that its President and General Director, Gabriel Cuervo, took protest as Advisor of the Cybersecurity Commission for the period 2017-2018 of the National Chamber of the Electronic Industry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies (CANIETI) Northwest, based in Tijuana.
Cuervo said: "I am very happy to lead this Board of Directors on the topic of Cybersecurity because I will have the opportunity to implement strategies in the region to combat cybercrime, an issue that saint Technologies handles very well."
The event was chaired by Mr. Jose Elizondo Soler, Regional President of CANIETI Northeast, who explained that the Cybersecurity Commission aims to form a working link between institutions and private entities to combat cybersecurity through forums, workshops, and provide tools to Internet users.
"We will work with the Federal, State and Municipal government of Baja California for the benefit of healthy Internet browsing, trying to instruct the community of the good use of technology and encourage them not to be victims of it," concluded Cuervo, who joins the Chamber for the first time.
It is worth mentioning that the National Chamber of the Electronic Industry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies has more than 80 years of life in Mexico, becoming a representative entity of the three sectors, by promoting its development in a global environment with high quality services. It is an institution of public interest, autonomous, with legal personality and its own assets. Its main purpose is to achieve the competitive development of the National Industry with a trade union sense and social responsibility.
