Latin America. Tyco Security Products introduces Kantech's EntraPass Go Install, a free mobile app that uses intuitive QR code technology, self-completing fields, and a streamlined commissioning process to significantly reduce installation time and total cost of ownership.
The application can be associated with other security devices, such as cameras operated through exacqVision and zones managed by DSC's PowerSeries Neo intrusion panels and Kantech card readers, in order to offer a complete security solution.
With Kantech's EntraPass Go Install, system integrators and end users can connect to their EntraPass servers by selecting them from a list of existing servers or by adding them manually.
They can also configure the Kantech KT-1 and KT-400 access controllers. For that, they need to scan a QR code containing the serial number and MAC address of the controller, allowing you to remotely configure the devices and doors, without the need to use a desktop computer. The express configuration of EntraPass Go Install includes self-completing fields for doors, which you can modify and label to more easily identify them, for example, "staff exit door" or "reception door".
The application also facilitates and accelerates the configuration of the KT-1 and KT-400 access controllers through testing activities that generate commissioning reports. Testing activities include activating buzzers, swiping cards, and locking and unlocking doors, among others. After performing the corresponding tests, the commissioning report can be saved along with photos that corroborate that the system has been successfully configured. This report allows system integrators, end users, and maintenance technicians to verify the installation, so they can know that the system was configured correctly, reducing service visits.

The mobile app allows you to easily associate other security devices – such as Kantech inputs, relays and doors, Exacq video devices and DSC PowerSeries Neo zones – with just one button. All of these features provide faster installation for integrators and lower cost for customers.
