2016 comes to ALAS with an air of renewal and the tireless search for excellence. In these purposes there are no better advisors than our partners, those people and organizations who know us very closely and who have all the criteria and desire to guide the most strategic decisions of the Association.
In order to direct activities in Latin America and the Caribbean, the WINGS Committees were born, a space where our partners can actively participate on six fronts:
-
Education and training: the backbone of ALAS, this committee is in charge of analyzing the professionalization needs of the industry to offer educational products in accordance with market trends.
-
Memberships: In a growing industry, this committee has the fundamental mission of guiding the incorporation of new partners. This is how they advise on which are the sectors of greatest interest, recognize and attract new entrepreneurs in the industry and promote the benefits of the union for the competitiveness of Latin American companies.
-
Institutional relations: this committee seeks to establish relationships with governments, public and private organizations with common objectives in improving the safety and security of people, as well as with those that promote or influence the development of laws, norms and standards in security.
-
Marketing and Communications: the two main functions of this committee are the management of new visibility and positioning opportunities for the Association and ensuring the efficient use of both internal and external media, seeking that the communications material is always aligned with the needs of the partners.
-
Exhibitions, Fairs and Congresses: ALAS has been characterized by maintaining its presence and obtaining great benefits for its partners in the main events of the industry. In this sense, this committee has the great responsibility of investigating new opportunities for participation in training and updating spaces that are projected as commercial showcases of interest to members, as well as the organization of congresses and seminars for the dissemination of technologies and knowledge in the security industry.
-
Norms and Standards: The most recent of the WINGS Committees seeks to establish relationships and work plans with organizations such as UL and the NFPA, with the intention of helping to raise the reliability of facilities and certification of security services in Latin America.
Knowledge and desire are the only requirements common to all ALAS Committees. They involve the people most committed to the growth of their companies, aware that the collaborative environment makes it easier for the partner to make themselves known as a leading company in the security market against their competitors, partners and customers.
The perspective that the partners have about WINGS, the way they see us from the outside, allows us to have a global look from what we are and what we could become and by mixing that external look with the decisions that are made from within, we achieve an unparalleled teamwork that results in more and better services and benefits for our reason for being: the ALAS Partners.
