Latin America. Exacq Technologies launches a native integration with Kantech's EntraPass access control system to provide immediate response to events. Version 7.2 of the exacqVision Video Management System (VMS) software also includes configuration flags, a new list search mode, push notifications in Exacq Mobile, and alert settings in Enterprise System Manager (ESM), a system health monitoring program for use with exacqVision's enterprise network video recorders (NVRs).
The new exacqVision-Kantech integration incorporates access control to the exacqVision video management system for integrated management and monitoring of building entry points. The integration of Kantech, added to Camera Links (controls superimposed on the display of the cameras) of exacqVision, a service introduced in version 7.0 of exacqVision, allows users to view the status and control the doors and locks directly from the live display page of the exacqVision client. Camera Links makes the commands they need most available to exacqVision users and greatly improves their response time to high-priority alarms and events.
In addition to the Timeline, Thumbnail, and Smart Search options, exacqVision users can now use event list search mode in version 7.2. With this new search option, exacqVision displays search results in a list format with an animated thumbnail view of the relevant video, which greatly reduces research time.
To simplify installation, exacqVision 7.2 releases configuration indicators that guide installers on the most common configuration options, allowing them to optimize VMS settings to achieve optimal performance in the way cameras transmit video as well as how it is recorded. Configuration indicators provide guidance for setting up motion detection, ensuring network connectivity, and modifying default passwords, among other functions.
Thanks to push notifications from the latest version of the Exacq mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 operating devices, any event monitoring configured with the exacqVision client can be automatically sent to a user's mobile device. This feature allows users of the Exacq mobile app the ability to open the event with an active status and immediately take appropriate action.
New Enterprise System Manager (ESM) alerts give administrators the ability to prioritize events based on their importance. With this new functionality, the ESM displays alerts in the main menu ensuring that users have faster access to the most important events to achieve more efficient security management.
You can access the exacqVision VMS using the free exacqVision client software (Windows/Linux/Mac), exacqVision's free browser client, available for all major browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera), or through the free Exacq Mobile app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8 devices. The VMS software comes with preconfigured exacqVIsion NVR servers or can be installed on third-party Windows or Linux systems.
