International. Schneider Electric, the global energy management specialist, announced the 'Power of Profession' award, in SCM World's 'Talent Revelation of the Year' category.
SCM World, the supply chain talent development partner of the world's leading companies, recognized the company for its 'Supply Chain Edison' and 'Global Supply Chain Academy' programs. The two talent programs were designed to support Schneider Electric's global transformation called 'Tailored Supply Chain' and impart company-wide specialized knowledge about multifunctional supply chain and outstanding supply chain skills.
From 2012 to 2014, the 'Tailored Supply Chain' initiative reduced customer delivery dissatisfaction by 27% and improved the company's service level by three points. It also improved the amount of industrial productivity by generating €340 million ($387 million) of average annual contribution to the company's performance. Schneider Electric now has a stronger pool of diverse talent globally, making the company listed on LinkedIn as one of the "50 companies with the highest demand."
As far as the 'Supply Chain Edison' program is concerned, the Global Supply Chain community of experts assists the company's employees by developing syllabuses, instructor-led training, orientation programs for newly recruited staff, as well as directing and participating in key projects for supply chain transformation. Global Supply Chain Academy, mentions the company, creates its offer according to the analysis of gaps in its competencies carried out by the Global Supply Chain division and tries to close them with a comprehensive and solid agenda through online learning courses to achieve a global scale and reach.
According to SCM World, the two talent programs were selected through a community voting process of SCM World's 25,000 members in the semifinal round and by a panel of more than 30 experts in the final round. "We are very proud that the Schneider Electric team has initiated supply chain transformation and learned more about the roles we all play in delivering value to our customers," said Annette Clayton, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Schneider Electric.
