Latin America. An Internet domain is an identification associated with a web page connected to the Internet.
The main purpose of Internet domain names is to translate the IP addresses of each active node on the network. If the domain name system did not exist, Internet users would have to access each web page using the node's IP address.
For example, you would have to use http:// 68,178,213,203 instead of http://DominiosDeSeguridad.com. In addition, the number of possible websites would be significantly reduced, since it is normal for the same IP address to be shared by several domains.
When the Domain Name System was created in the 80s, the names were divided into two groups. The first included the territorial domains of each country based on the two characters, example .do, .mx, .pe, .ar, etc. called ccTLD (country code Top Level Domain). The second group included generic top-level domains called gTLD (generic Top Level Domain), example .com, .net, .org, .edu, etc.
The growth of the Internet has involved the creation of new gTLD domains, such as .latino, casa, .cafe, .miami, .camara, .familia
If you market in security equipment or products, target the Hispanic market in the U.S. or Latin America, and use the Internet as a sales tool, it's important that your company has a domain that is easy to find and of course memorize.
Increasing security to protect the home or business with security cameras, alarm systems, access control, CCTV and other protection-related systems represent important revenues for companies providing security equipment.
That is why if you have a domain that is generic, easy to remember and also representative of your particular market segment, you can then generate good "visitor traffic" to your website, since with your "generic name" you can:
- Create "mini websites" around the domain name
- Optimize your page with the main search engines (Search Engine Optimization)
- And of course, generate qualified tracks
