With ccTV cameras, with resolutions ranging from VGA to 4K, Panasonic presented to the Mexican market its offer in this sector, as part of its celebration of its first centenary globally, as well as its first 40 years Mexico, said Gerardo Castillo, Sales Manager of CCTV, Solutions B2B, Panasonic Mexico.
"We offer complete solutions for the CCTV market. We talk about cameras, software, analytics, recording. In this case we are focusing on retail, so we present HD cameras up to 5 MPx, but we can reach up to 4K, such as a 360° camera. We can cover an area of 10 meters: have analytics in that chamber -such as counting people-, caloric maps, facial recognition -from 10 thousand to 30 thousand faces, for white lists or black lists, recognizing age range, if it is male or female-, "said Castillo.
The executive described the advantages of the equipment of the Japanese brand: "In our cameras we can talk about 109° aperture, from HD to full HD with integrated audio, which everything goes to the recorder or the VMS. In more robust solutions we have our VMS, which we can store from 200 to 300 cameras of any resolution – from VGA to 4K, with H.264 and H.265 compression. We can also absorb all brands, but if it is Panasonic it is completely free. We have control of schedules, with alerts via email with an image, this in case of access not allowed".
On the penetration of the brand in Mexico, he said: "We are focusing on large projects, such as government, although we can offer solutions from the low range or something already more sophisticated. Our niche goes for medium-high-end projects. That is, we can offer solutions for all markets."
He added: "In large projects, in northern states of the country we talk about projects of up to 700 PTZ cameras, 4K, smart buildings, access control integration, storage of other brands – from HD to 4K. Projects have been won – because our zoom is the largest on the market, up to 90x zoom. One of our main technologies – for which we won several projects – is unique to Panasonic, the Rain Wash Coating, that the bubble of the PTZ, 4K, that if rain or dust falls it does not stick, and if that happens after three or four years, with a jet of water it is cleaned, that is, maintenance-free."
