Latin America. Milestone Systems and Axis Communications announced the release of AXIS Optimizer, a set of add-ons and features that optimize the functionality of cameras running with XProtect software.
This new solution provides the necessary add-ons to ensure optimal performance of Axis devices within XProtect. This allows to activate all the features and benefits of both systems, thanks to which integrators, administrators and operators obtain a unique added value.
Previously, system integrators or XProtect end users had to manually perform the add-on management process for the range of Axis devices on their network. AXIS Optimizer enables significant time and effort savings in finding, downloading, installing and configuring all the add-ons needed to operate Axis devices with the Milestone VMS.
"This tool was created by Axis exclusively for Milestone VMS users who use the platform to manage their videos with Axis cameras and radar detectors; this solution allows them to get the most out of their integrations between these two global market leaders. Additionally, the installation is very practical, unique to activate the features and control the operation of Axis devices," says Jeremy Scott, strategic alliances manager of Milestone Systems for the Americas.
AXIS Optimizer's management features include image distortion correction, perimeter protection, camera shake, and a new menu option that allows easy access to camera commands. A special add-on enables easy detector management with AXIS D2050-VE networked radar technology, simplifying access to the control interface directly from the XProtect Smart Client.
• Image distortion correction: 360° correction of live video and client-side recording using Axis panoramic cameras.
• Radar: Easy management and configuration of rules of radar configurations, detection zones, etc. for the AXIS D2050-VE network radar detector of the management client Milestone.
• Axis Camera Assistant: Automatic configuration of camera settings for all devices from the Milestone management client.
• On-screen controls, SpeedDry function: eliminates water and condensation by accessing specific camera functions on Axis PTZ cameras directly from the XProtect main menu.
• On-screen controls, cleaner: Remove excess water and rain from the lens of Axis positioning cameras directly from the XProtect main menu.
• Focus Recovery: Achieves instant focus even in challenging lighting conditions from the Milestone management client.
