Hanwha Techwin and analytics specialists A.I Tech have developed two biometric solutions for retail that will allow small chains, convenience stores, news stations and gas stations to better understand the type and number of people who visit their establishments.
Both camera solutions work immediately upon installation and include pre-installed video analytics, including advanced intelligence and machine vision algorithms.
Wisenet AI-Retail-DASH software takes advantage of the high-quality images captured by the Wisenet XND-6010/RET 2-megapixel minidome. It also leverages the high processing power of the chipset built into the Wisenet X cameras to enable the execution of video analytics built into the Wisenet XND-6010/RET minidome.
The solution has two modules: AI-PEOPLE can count the number of people who enter a certain area of a store, detecting the presence of people crossing virtual lines. The direction in which they walk can be established and there is no limit to the number of virtual lines that can be configured.
In turn, the AI-CROWD module allows estimating the number of people present in agglomeration areas where they move more slowly or stop as at payment points.
