Latin America. C•CURE 9000 version 2.70 software offers a standard, consistent option that meets the needs of security personnel for critical access control and visitor management in companies that adopt agile workplace strategies.
"By leveraging the robust security platform offered by the C•CURE 9000 software, with version 2.70, users can adopt more than one service-oriented model and thus have a more secure, but also more agile workspace," said Luis Delcampo, Product and Marketing Manager of Johnson Controls' Access Control line for Latin America "The software allows security operators to use centralized policies and offer a standard methodology for authorization that does not jeopardize security, but that decentralizes the ownership and control of different sectors of the installation and access of visits. Thus, business organizations get a quick and accessible solution."
C•CURE 9000 version 2.70 software streamlines access authorizations, is less error-prone, and has a consistent process. Now, the cardholder can request access to a location, and that request is sent to the right staff for approval, replacing the long email chains and lengthy response times that were common for access authorizations. To meet regulatory requirements, C•CURE 9000 software provides a complete audit trail of approvals granted or denied, all natively.
Enhanced visitor management capabilities were designed to reduce the volume of reception work and streamline the processing of visitor data. Version 2.70 introduces a new feature to print credentials for visits from the self-service entry terminal; new host instructions, and also group entry, so that a user can add a group of visitors entering for an event, class, or conference. In order to increase the security of an area, internal lists of people under surveillance were added, both for staff and for the administration of visits. In addition, a help button is now available for staff to send an alert to the security team with a single click, allowing them to respond quickly to the visit or other staff issues.
Other features of the C•CURE 9000 software version 2.70 include enhancements to the C•CURE web client, with support for Swipe and Show, which visually compares the cardholder to the image of the records, in order to reduce identity theft and social engineering attacks. Thus, users can increase security by using any Internet-enabled workstation or any mobile device that has C•CURE 9000 software installed. Version 2.70 also releases templates to make sharing and updating information easier; an "on query" feature for audit and log query triggers, and priority for iSTAR access controllers to download updates quickly.
Software House designs C•CURE 9000 software and iSTAR drivers together to protect your business. To get the maximum benefit from this new release of C•CURE 9000 software, Software House recommends updating your iSTAR driver to firmware version 6.5.X. Users of C•CURE 9000 software with a current software support agreement will be able to download version 2.70 at no additional charge.
