International. Perez joins IC Realtime to serve as president of a new artificial intelligence (AI) business unit and develop the company's software offerings.
IC Realtime announced the appointment of Jorge Perez as president of global business development and the new head of the Ella Intelligent Video Search business unit.
Within the new role, Perez will be responsible for overseeing new features and deploying applications under Ella. In addition, Perez will oversee operations and personnel within IC Realtime's Ella intelligent video search division. She is a deep learning video search engine that augments surveillance systems with natural language search capabilities through recorded video streams. The solution, offered to the security and surveillance market by IC Realtime, is hardware-agnostic and works with both existing DIY and professionally installed systems to equip facilities with video search capabilities.

Prior to joining IC Realtime, Perez began his career within the industry as a co-founder of an authorized ADT distributor in South Florida, which became one of the top 10 dealerships in the nation. Perez also worked for Edison Security, where his responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of sales, marketing, operations and office management across multiple offices in South Florida. As Salesgenine.com's National Sales Director, Perez led national sales of companies within the home security division, which included managing corporate locations and dealer programs.
With more than two decades in the security and surveillance industry, Perez joins IC Realtime with experience developing business relationships within new regions and markets, including contracting, development, sales management and operations.
