Mexico. Fujitsu increases its portfolio of advanced biometric security solutions through an agreement with ImageWare Systems, with which the Japanese multinational will not only expand its biometric identity and access management solutions to mobile devices, but also to additional authentication methods, such as fingerprint, face and voice recognition. Fujitsu customers will be able to implement biometric authentication as a service running on Fujitsu Cloud Service K5.
As companies embark on digital transformation, it is increasingly important to take steps to secure data, from patient identification in the healthcare sector, to fraud prevention in the retail or banking sector to ensure the safe use of enterprise mobile devices. Combining biometric authentication with existing access control, such as tokens, passwords, or PINs, provides the maximum level.
Fujitsu's current biometric identity and access management solutions, including PalmSecure, its palm vein-reading authentication solution, already leverage the ImageWare System's biometric engine, such as its identity storage and matching database. The same technology is now available as a service and is hosted on the Fujitsu Cloud Service K5. Now, customers of the Japanese company can easily and quickly update any of their security processes to include highly secure biometric authentication by deploying the ImageWare Systems GoVerify ID® family of products.
