Mexico. In Latin America, according to recent data from IDC, 50% of SMEs are already digital and by 2020, of the 3,000 largest companies in the region, 40% of them will generate more revenue from digital experiences.
Faced with this data, there is no doubt that digital transformation is impacting all business processes of organizations in the region and that its adoption is essential to maintain and increase competitiveness in the near future. In particular, digital transformation includes some essential factors, such as technology, people/culture and processes and, consequently, the workspace is the center that unites these three main axes.
In this context, Ricoh and 3g Smart Group, a multinational company specialized in the design of corporate, retail, educational and hotel spaces, announce an alliance in order to create new collaborative and mobile workspaces under the lens of digital transformation and consulting services to understand the needs and objectives of clients in their entirety, since a digital transformation project coupled with the workspace must have a clear strategy to see tangible results.
While the growth of cloud tools has redefined expectations about hardware and business infrastructure, the new "tech" habits of workers also play a key role in the current productivity of organizations. Today, iworkers expect their employers to already have flexible work schemes based on mobility, teleworking modalities (total or partial) or BYOD (Bring your own device), which allows or encourages the use of personal mobile devices for work. Therefore, the axis between people, technology and processes is key to maximizing the advantages of digital transformation.
In this sense, Ricoh and 3g Smart Group propose a new concept that combines design, technology and consulting to meet the challenges of adapting to digital transformation and providing coherence in processes. One of them is "The Huddle Room", spaces specifically designed for maximum collaboration, creativity and communication needs between workers, customers, business partners, suppliers... The Huddle Room includes Ricoh's Visual Communication products and services: Video Conferencing Systems, Interactive Whiteboards and Enterprise Video Projectors so teams can communicate and collaborate locally, remotely and mobile using tablets, smartphones and laptops.
On the other hand, 3g Smart Group, with the support of Ricoh, have organized the "Smart Conversations", events that will take place in several countries of the region (Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Peru, among other countries) with the aim of collecting and disseminating the trends of workspaces, organizational culture and digitalization. Started in 2006 and with more than 100 editions worldwide, these conferences provide relevant data for companies in order to advance in the transformation process from three aspects: spaces, people and technology.
Fernando Maroniene, Vice President of Marketing at Ricoh Latin America explains: "We identified a synergy between 3G Office's vision of digital transformation and Ricoh's. Together, we promote in the region a concept that focuses on the integral transformation of the current business model, its processes and the work environment so that companies can be more competitive through innovation and collaboration, where technology, without a doubt, is a crucial aspect to make it a reality".
With this alliance, Ricoh through its collaborative technology and 3g Smart Group, through space, help its clients to obtain the highest quality indexes in all their projects, whatever their nature, achieving a competitive advantage through the design and management of their spaces.
