Colombia. Axis Communications responds to some of the most pressing surveillance needs of public and private organizations with the launch of its new visual, thermal and dual-spectrum cameras (visual plus thermal), with positioning system.
Cameras with visual PTZ, dual-spectrum PTZ and thermal positioning system streamline the identification and management of incidents in large spaces. Discover them in the video.
Cameras with that base associate the range of view of a fixed camera with the high speed of PTZ movements. The result is a broad vision with comprehensive coverage.
That allows operators to control vertical and horizontal movement more quickly and accurately. They are designed for the monitoring of large spaces, perimeters and borders in real time and also to facilitate an immediate response in case of alerts and security incidents.
The new range gives the possibility of accessing a 360-degree field of view without obstructions at all times and a field of view of 135 degrees from land to sky.
"Sometimes the spaces to be monitored are huge (thousands of hectares with perimeters of hundreds of kilometers) and, in many cases, static cameras do not give us a sufficiently complete field of view," says Michael Chen, international product director at Axis Communications.
Among the features of the new cameras with positioning system are:
- High-speed, shak-free PTZ movements for continuous horizontal movement
- Integrated electronic image stabilization to reduce vibrations caused by an unstable mounting surface or a mast sensitive to wind shock
- Powerful positioning functions, even in strong winds and with a wide temperature range
The new range includes thermal cameras, visual PTZ cameras and dual-spectrum PTZ cameras (combining visual and thermal images):
AXIS Q8641-E and AXIS Q8642-E PT Thermal Network Cameras
They stand out for an exceptional thermal contrast and a 17° field of view that, together with the analytical functions, facilitate long-distance detection and immediate visual confirmation by the operator.
AXIS Q8685-E/-LE PTZ PTZ PTZ Network Cameras
They offer high-quality video with 1080p HDTV, 30x zoom with focus memory and extraordinary light sensitivity. The combination of wide dynamic range (WDR) with forensic capture and low-light sensitivity is key to challenging lighting conditions.
AXIS Q8741-E and AXIS Q8742-E Dual Spectrum PTZ Network Cameras
There are two live video streams: one from a thermal sensor (used for detection and verification) and another from a high-definition visual sensor (for the identification of colors and details). The cameras also feature a 30x zoom, wide dynamic range (WDR) with forensic capture and low-light sensitivity.
In addition, AXIS Q8741-LE, AXIS Q8742-LE and AXIS Q8685-LE models include long-range and long-life infrared to improve visibility at night. In places where there is a risk of the lens becoming dirty due to the presence of dust, salt, sand or soot from vehicles (for example, in traffic monitoring applications, airports, ports and surveillance of public areas), these cameras include a remote maintenance system with brush cleaning to counteract the effects of rain and dirt.
The cameras will be available through Axis distribution channels during the second or third quarter of 2017.
