International. NVT Phybridge announced that its CHARIoT series of long-range switches received the Platinum Award in the Network Support Solutions category in the competition for the 2017 GOVIES Government Security Awards.
The Government Security Product Awards were initially launched in 2009 and for the year 2011 they were relaunched under the name by which they are known today: The GOVIES.
Government safety remains an ongoing concern, which is why the competition program and number of products participating has been stronger each year.
According to the organizers, an independent panel of judges in the security industry chose the best solutions for the categories in 2016 and named the winners based on criteria such as innovation, user-friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, market opportunity, technological advances, scalability and impact on the security industry.
For the Network Support Solutions category, NVT Phybridge's CHARIoT series – which includes poLRE, CLEER and FLEX switches – was the winner. This family of switches helps customers migrate from their existing infrastructures to IP infrastructures, quickly, economically and without sacrificing security. It also removes infrastructure barriers by offering: greater range, power amplification, and robust management.
"Our CLEER Switch, without going any further, allowed a Mexican Government Agency to migrate 8,000 analog cameras to IP in record time, while allowing great savings," said Antonio Pérez, Sales Director of NVT Phybridge for Latin America and the Caribbean.
"For us it is a great honor to continue to swell our list of awards for the CHARIoT range, and especially this award that recognizes the contribution in government projects in a year that has been especially successful for NVT Phybridge in this sector and in Latin America," said the executive.
The GOVIES Platinum Award was received by NVT Phybridge CEO John Croce during the ISC West show, which took place April 6-8 at the Sand Exhibition Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
