Mexico. The global cybersecurity market is valued at more than 120 billion dollars per year and only in Latin America there will be investments of 12 billion dollars. This requires intelligence in technology, strategy and solutions, to reverse the daily attacks of cybercriminals in these issues.
Security as a corporate strategic part, identity management and authentication, privacy and data protection, detection and response to incidents, future threats and damage prevention, will be some of the priority topics of InfoSecurity, exhibition, round of workshops and conferences, to be held from April 25 to 27, 2017 at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City.
"This year we are going to focus on areas such as cybersecurity as a corporate strategic part; give visitors the strategies so that they can integrate it – not only in a sense of IT – but also in a financial and strategic planning sense, of how they can mitigate risks and be more productive if they protect themselves, both internal and external risks. We will also be focused on identity management and authentication; privacy and data protection; incident detection, response and recovery; future threats and prevention of corporate damage; the prevention and mitigation of internal risks in a company; as well as social engineering -how a cybercriminal understands the behavior of people to generate new threats-", described Rodrigo Ibarra, show director of InfoSecurity.
He added: "We are all susceptible to information theft. We want users and the industry to know what the main points of focus are for cybersecurity."
Juan Manuel Luna, director for Mexico at Arbor Networks, said: "We are in a change in terms of what cyberattackers are doing, becoming more complex, more organized and what is being done on the other side? Consultants and companies that are dedicated to information security have a moral obligation to participate in these forums to report on these issues, where we share the experience we have of what is happening about cyber threats."
