Latin America. Recent developments in video surveillance, access control and network audio represent new revenue opportunities for local businesses under the concept of the Internet of Things.
Resales of products and technology solutions operating in Lima will participate in the 2016 Road Show organized by Belden, manufacturer of network connectivity devices and products for signal transmission. The meeting, which will be held this Thursday, October 20 and still has spaces available, will present new technologies applicable to the requirements of high-speed data transmission, video surveillance, audio and access control.
One of the main conferences of the Road Show will be given by Juan Pablo Tavil, distribution account manager for Hispanic countries in South America at Axis Communications. The conference will focus on the "Digital Economy – How New Technologies Can Reduce Your Customers' Costs and Increase Their Revenue Over the IP Network."
For Jimena Genetti, Manager of Enterprise Solutions for Hispanic countries, it makes perfect sense for companies that offer services and install IT projects to expand their vision of the business opportunities that the network offers today. "On that same digital basis, channels can offer a more complete portfolio and highlight the cost reduction that this implies in the medium and long term in the total cost of the project. So the customer wins and the resale wins," explains Genetti.
IP video surveillance technology, a pioneer of IoT devices, was launched by Axis in 1996. Since then, the video surveillance market is going through a process of migration from analog to digital technology, which now allows the use of other systems on the same network, such as access control, audio and video analytics.
This has made it possible to boost the growth of local companies that previously limited their offer to network installation and maintenance services, for example. After 20 years of its creation, the capabilities of this technology continue to evolve and ways to take advantage of connectivity in terms of system integration continue to be discovered.
The Road Show will be held in Lima, Peru, at the JW Marriot Lima Hotel (Malecón de la Reserva 615 Miraflores), on October 20 from 8:30AM to 12:30M.
