International. By a group of judges, who represented end users and experts in security technologies, the FLEX Switch was evaluated and awarded in the Accolades Competition, a contest held by ASIS for products and services launched in the last year. This product, which is part of NVT Phybridge's CHARIoT series, was recognized for its innovation, its value in optimizing costs and its easy management for the user.
"NVT Phybridge already has a history of bringing practical and valuable innovations to market for end users; it's great to see that the FLEX Switch has been recognized by themselves and this is due to their ability to extend Ethernet and PoE without the need to invest in additional cabinets and without interruptions, which represents significant cost savings," said John Croce, CEO of NVT Phybridge.
The FLEX switch was designed to help customers transform existing 2- or 4-pair UTP infrastructures into IP networks that are powered and provide connectivity to IoT endpoint devices and to meet long-range requirements in new buildings.
It transmits high-speed Ethernet and PoE++ (50 watts) over the aforementioned infrastructure with a range of 1,640 feet (500m), and can be used for all IP endpoint devices that require high-speed, high-power Ethernet connectivity. "No other switch on the market combines these features of power, graphical interface, cable pair options and long range," added John Croce.
The Judge's Choice award ceremony was held on September 12, during the welcome lunch of the ASIS 2016 show, with more than 5000 members and attendees. Steven Fair, Global EVP of NVT Phybridge, was in charge of receiving the award on behalf of the company.
