Recommendations on integration of security technologies

Mexico. The integration of security technologies to support operational personnel is therefore the main task to be fulfilled in terms of protection. Until today, most retail chains operate independently of their technological schemes that allow or facilitate theft or claims without  timely detection.

To counteract the high incidence of crime in retail, as an added value keyBPS executes  a risk analysis to develop its solution, carries out a comparison with what the user has and what the integrator offers to protect the sale of the business with security systems based on the protection of customers and employees,  it even supports the operational part, which no other wholesaler or brands offer.

Today a keyBPS security scheme is not limited to protecting the sales floor. With an efficient integration of ccTV, monitoring, voice and access control technologies, customer accesses, staff entrances, corridors, checkout areas, parking lots and ATMs are monitored, people counts and plate readings are made. What is the added value? The reduction of equipment with decentralized systems and consequently the reduction of surveillance costs.

The keyBPS security solution consists of intelligent but installed and operating electronic security cameras in a decentralized manner,  with an encrypted telephone system, smart locks and facial recognition in zones, including thermal cameras that can detect a fire outbreak and notify your headquarters.  80% of retail fires start in machine rooms or garbage. It's that simple and straightforward for the end user.

In the section of the employees to control the theft or the loss, keyBPS to have interchangeable cameras of high definition, visualizes for example warehouse or the receipt of goods, where it can fully identify all the movements of the employees. If the protection is not complete, in the accesses of these points, it proposes the solution of the video intercom, which rotates at 180 degrees and covers from wall to wall to check possible intrusions of armed people or beloved employees, even hidden on the sides of the doors.

The effectiveness of keyBPS security solutions has been evident in retail. Today the company has about 500 customers in this sector nationwide where its main problem was theft, shrinkage and undetected claims, all were made a "tailor-made suit" according to their protection needs, even for the size of their properties.

And as Gustavo Flores,  sales manager of keyBPS, mentions, the company's systems are intelligent, since currently all retailers  in Mexico  have a monitoring service center that depends on one person. By having the human factor involved  there are more error rates. The company's systems alert the police directly autonomously as a second, more reliable reaction measure without having to go through the monitor.

Is the investment in security high? No,  especially if you consider that the first thing that is protected are human lives and then goods. For example, a complete  solution  with the aforementioned products requires  on average an investment (in dollars) per store size:

  • ● Small: one thousand to 3 thousand
  • ● Medium: 7 thousand to 9 thousand
  • ● Large: 20 thousand to 35 thousand

Compared to other brands, keyBPS keeps its prices 20% below the traditional brands that retail commonly hires.  Its systems are maintenance-free, even facilitating the reduction of up to 10% of the staff of security  guards and loss prevention.

If as simple buyers we knew that the retail store of our preference will have state-of-the-art technology such as that offered by keyBPS, purchases and stay in the property would be assiduous.

Hopefully this dynamism will be replicated throughout the sector, although many customers continue to see security as an expense, not as an investment.
